Biography

Jaime de la Rosa was an actor, known for Kumander 13 (1956), Aladin (1946) and Dyesebel (1953). He died on November 16, 1986 in the Philippines.

Suggested the name Filipino Academy for Movie Arts and Sciences or FAMAS as the name of the movie academy in the Philippines, instead of the proposed Academy of Motion Pictures and Science of the Philippines or AMPAS. This after the American Motion Pictures and Science (AMPAS) has protested the use of Academy of Motion Pictures and Science of the Philippines.

Brother of Rogelio de la Rosa, 'Tommy dela Rosa' and Africa de la Rosa.
