Biography

Edemilson C. Morais (Ed Morais) is a Brazilian-Canadian writer, producer, and director based in Vancouver, British Columbia. His work centers on character-driven stories that explore identity, belonging, human connection, and personal transformation. He wrote and produced the short film Something Sweet, a nominee for a 2026 Leo Award, and produced and directed the short film Dark Parade. Before turning to film, Morais spent two decades producing large-scale live experiences and branded events across Brazil and the United States, work that shaped his instinct for collaboration, logistics, and storytelling at scale. He brings that cross-cultural perspective to emotionally resonant narratives that connect audiences across different backgrounds and experiences.
