Biography

A native West Texan, raised in Central Alabama, Melaine Bennett began her career directing her first play in second grade (thank you, Mrs. Dawson at Dean Road Elementary.) Melaine went on to work as an actor throughout her 20s in theatre and then moved into Arts Administration. Before stepping back into acting in 2019, Melaine worked 20+ years as a Fundraiser and Manager in regional theatre and the arts (Alabama Shakespeare Festival, La Jolla Playhouse, South Coast Repertory and Intiman.) Melaine lives on the Gulf Coast.
