Mana Almajd is a Saudi actress, screenwriter, and producer who has been a key figure in the Saudi entertainment scene since 2009. Having lived in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Morocco, she has developed a deep understanding of the diverse cultures and dialects of the MENA region, which she skillfully incorporates into her acting and storytelling.
Mana's career began with roles in major TV commercials and campaigns for brands like Tarfeeh Fakieh, Savola World in collaboration with the United Nations Environment Program, Saudi Airlines, IKEA, and Perfetto. She also starred in a well-received web series with Khaled Farraj, which has amassed nearly 2 million views. On television, she played Dr. Leila, a pivotal character in "Ekhteraq-Infiltration," a 30-episode series filmed in Egypt and aired on SBC TV channel. She also portrays Fatma Alrabhan, the antagonist in the Shahid series "Akher Riyal." Mana has trained at the Actor's Studio ASOOC, studied the Meisner Technique under Judy Kain, and learned Commercial and Theatrical Techniques.
As a filmmaker, Mana co-wrote a pilot with Hanaa Alfassi and Jade that won the Red Sea Labs award at the Red Sea Film Festival in 2023. This award was judged by notable industry figures such as David Isaacs, head of the screenwriting department at USC; Tunisian filmmaker Dhafer L'Abidine; and Karim Zreik, ex-Vice President of Marvel, underscoring her talent as a writer and storyteller. She has also pursued a Directing Certificate with Film MOC under the instruction of Tom Abrams from USC, further honing her skills behind the camera.
Mana and Hanaa also won the AlUla Creates contest, which led to the production of their short film "When The Shelves Hymn." Supported by mentors from Vertigo Films, this program provided valuable guidance throughout the filmmaking process. The film was picked up for distribution by Front Row Filmed Entertainment.
Outside of her film and TV work, Mana has modeled for top Saudi fashion designers, showcasing haute couture collections that reflect Saudi culture and elegance. With a BA in Business, she continually seeks out new experiences and challenges. Mana is also a singer with the renowned Choralla group, representing Saudi Arabia on international stages, and she stays active through aerial yoga and rock climbing. As the first certified Qi Gong instructor in Saudi Arabia, she teaches in various studios, blending her diverse talents with a commitment to lifelong learning and personal growth.
