Ethan Grover

Biography

Ethan Grover

Mini bio

  • Ethan Grover is an emerging writer-director known for blending surrealism and emotional depth through stylized cinematography and minimal dialogue. His breakout short film, Counterpart (2022), received multiple international honors, including Best student Film at the 2024 Seoul International Short Film Festival, Best Student Film at the 2023 Sunset Film Festival, and an Award of Merit from Global Shorts Los Angeles. The film was also nominated for Best First Time Director at the 2022 Cannes Shorts Film Festival.

Following Counterpart, Grover began development on his next project, Metronome, a visually driven short film exploring time, perception, and inner duality. With early interest from industry producers and festivals, Metronome is set to further establish Grover's voice as a new talent in psychological and atmospheric storytelling.

Grover studied film at the Los Angeles Film School, where he developed a strong foundation in writing, directing, editing, and post-production. He has also worked on immersive productions including Stranger Things: The Experience, bringing his skills to high-concept experiential storytelling.
