Guido Meardi is an entrepreneur, inventor, and executive producer blending deep tech innovation with creative storytelling. He is the Co-founder and CEO of V-Nova, the tech company behind compression standards like MPEG-5 LCEVC and SMPTE VC-6, with over 1,300 patents. V-Nova also created the first-ever format for immersive cinematic Six-Degrees-of-Freedom (6DoF), V-Nova PresenZ.
A prolific inventor with over 700 patents to his name, Guido helped pioneer advancements reshaping video, AI, and immersive media. He serves on the Board of Governors of Hollywood's Advanced Imaging Society (AIS), working alongside major studio and tech executives to push the boundaries of entertainment.
Previously a senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, Guido holds an MBA from MIT Sloan (Siebel Scholar) and an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and the University of Texas at Austin (Intel Scholar). He made his executive producer debut with Sharkarma (2025) and Weightless (2025).
