Biography

Claude Frank was born on December 24, 1925 in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany. He was an actor. He was married to Lilian Margaret Kallir. He died on December 27, 2014 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.

He was a classical pianist and teacher. The height of his career was in the 1970s when he played around 70 concerts a year around the world.

He was born in Germany to Jewish parents. His family went to Paris in the wake of the Nazi takeover. After the invasion of France in 1940, they escaped to Portugal. They eventually made it to the US, where Frank served in the military, becoming an American citizen in 1944.

He made his recital debut in 1947 in New York, later becoming one of the early players in the Boston Symphony Chamber Players.
