Shriram Bohra was born into a Pushkarna Brahmin family in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. A visionary in Indian cinema, he moved to Bombay in 1947 and went on to establish Bohra Bros., a reputed banner in the film industry. Over a career spanning more than six decades, he was involved in the production, distribution, and exhibition of over 100 feature films in Hindi and various regional languages. Some of his notable works include Howrah Express, Al Hilal, Baghdad Thief, and Sajan Ka Ghar.

He served as the President of the Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association (IMPPA) from 1972 to 1984, playing a crucial role in shaping the industry's institutional framework during that era. Bohra was also elected Chairman of the Film Makers Combine, reflecting his leadership and standing among his peers.He remained the president of the Film Federation of India from 1982 to 1984.

In 1982, he constructed a building named Movie Tower in Mumbai, which was developed on a non-profit basis to provide affordable housing to film industry professionals. Continuing his philanthropic efforts, a special wing called the Shri Ram Bohra Memorial was established in Jodhpur, where underprivileged patients are treated free of cost by top doctors.

Shree Ram Bohra remains a respected figure in Indian cinema, remembered for both his cinematic contributions and his commitment to social welfare.
