Mini bio

  • Thomas O’Toole has been in front of cameras since he was 11. First modelling, then acting from 12 - not because anyone in his family pointed him that way, but because he found it himself and never looked back.

His presenting career is built on SKY Kids’ FYI, where across 40+ episodes he interviewed Jack Black, Gillian Anderson, Aisling Bea, and Steve Carell, reported from major national events, and travelled internationally - including to Brazil for documentary work. Acting credits include every episode of Series 6 of CBBC Class Dismissed and a role in Disney+’s The Full Monty.

Recent years have been about going deeper rather than wider. He works one-to-one with an acting coach, attends weekly screen acting classes, and performs each term with Youth Theatre - where he recently won the lead role of Peter Pan in Peter and Wendy. Last year he showcased his character comedy and American accent playing the lead role of the big, brash Mr. Tooley in the musical Made in Dagenham. (2026) He is midway through a BTEC in Creative Digital Media Production - on track for a Distinction* - and already has a few short films and professional industry table reads under his belt. This hands-on experience, both behind the camera and in script development, gives him a great head start on set. It helps him understand the bigger picture of filmmaking, allowing him to act with the final edit in mind.

Thomas is a through-knee amputee. It doesn’t limit his range. He is physically active, moves with ease, and utilises a microprocessor knee that ensures his gait is virtually unnoticeable. The disability is there if a production needs it. It disappears if they don’t. Casting directors shouldn’t be asking "why an amputee?" - they should be asking "why not?".

In 2026, Thomas is attached as the lead to an upcoming horror feature in funding. Acting is what Thomas does - on set, in training, and in his own time.
