Paul Gendreau formed Paul Gendreau Public Relations in 1996, offering clients a more personalized service alternative to larger public relations organizations. Before starting his own firm, Gendreau was Vice President, Entertainment Publicity for Fox Broadcasting Company, where he was responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all aspects of the networks's national entertainment publicity and media relations operations. In this capacity, Gendreau oversaw all publicity for the network's primetime series, made-for-television movies, miniseries and specials, including "The X-Files," "In Living Color," "Married...With Children," "The Simpsons," "Party of Five," "Melrose Place," and "Beverly Hills, 90210," among others. Prior to joining Fox in 1992, Gendreau was a senior television publicist for Warner Bros. Televsion (formerly Lorimar-Telepictures and Lorimar Television). During his tenure there, Gendreau created, developed and implemented full-range publicity programs for television series and made-for-television movies, surpervised unit photography and handled key talent in the promotion of television product. Some of the series and miniseries for which he created and executed campaigns include "Knots Landing," "Family Matters," "The People's Court," "Gabriel's Fire," "Sisters," "Stephen King's IT," "I Know My First Name is Steven," and "I'll Fly Away." Gendreau began his public relations career at Lorimar, where he was Director, Investment Relations. Reporting directly to the Chairman of the Board, Gendreau served as the American Stock Exchange-listed company's primary investment contact. He wrote and oversaw the production and distribution of Lorimar's written shareholder communications, including the company's annual and quarterly reports. In addition, Gendreau was responsible for the organization and execution of all corporate marketing events, including analyst presentations and roadshows. For his work on the company's successful investor relations campaign, Gendreau received a 1985 Silver Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America. Gendreau is a director of The Trevor Project, a non-profit organization which operates a suicide-prevention hotline for gay and questionin youth. His is an active member of the Human Rights Campaign, and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the Publicists Guild of America. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drama and Theatre.
