- Alfred Bach was born on February 20, 1874 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary [now Austria]. He is known for Der Karneval der Toten (1919), Die Einödpfarre (1915) and Kindertränen (1916).
- He was a successful stage actor and director and he only appeared rarely in front of the camera.
- On September 1942 he was deported to the KZ Theresienstadt where he was murdered. The year is not known.
- As a Jew he was no longer able to work in Germany in the 30s.
