Biography

Raphael Sommer is a versatile actor whose work spans drama, comedy, film, and professional theater. He began acting at the age of seven and, over the past five years, has brought his natural artistic talent to a variety of projects, including short films, feature films, commercials, and voiceover work.

His award-winning short film credits include Stall (dir. Arlo Grey Gordon), To Be Like You (dir. Meredith Esquirel), Province ( dir Alexander Norton), Backward, Forward, All Around (dir Jacob Apple and Eli Mandel), among others. His feature films include Operation Friendship (dir Douglas Maddox), Tenants of Carver Hill (dir Hollis Sherman-Pepe).

On television, Raphael showcased his quick wit and improvisational skills in a comedic appearance on Impractical Jokers and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

His stage work so far includes professional productions where he has played Mamilius in The Winter's Tale (dir. Alexander Burns), Michael Banks in Mary Poppins (dir. Emily Trask), Sonny in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (dir. Bernard Havard), Chip in Beauty and the Beast ( Walnut Street Theatre), and Elf The Broadway Musical ( Walnut Street Theatre)

Fluent in several languages-including French, Latin, German, and Spanish-Raphael brings a broad cultural perspective to his craft. Beyond acting, he is an excellent athlete in sports such as swimming, sailing, golf, and tennis. He also enjoys mathematics and robots.
