Dailyn Rodriguez was born in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City to Cuban parents. She attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts where she graduated with a BFA in Dramatic Writing. In 2001 she earned a spot in the ABC/Disney Studios Writing Fellowship and has been working as a TV writer ever since.
