Biography

Martin Wagner was born on April 27, 1966 in Henderson, Nevada, USA. He is an assistant director, known for McCartney's Genes (2008), When Zachary Beaver Came to Town (2003) and Mission Control Texas (2015).

Lived as a child in England, the Middle East and Singapore. At the University of Texas, he worked as a student cartoonist at the same time as Robert Rodriguez.

An outspoken atheist, has been involved in secular humanist and church/state separation activism.

In the early 1990s, Wagner was a prominent figure in the short-lived comics self-publishing movement, along with Dave Sim (Cerebus), Jeff Smith (Bone) and Colleen Doran (A Distant Soil).
