Biography

Soko was born on October 26, 1985 in Bordeaux, France. She is an actress and composer, known for Her (2013), Augustine (2012) and Soko: Temporary Mood Swings (2015).

Identifies herself as queer. She said in an interview for British website The Nue Co. on June 26, 2020: "I called myself bisexual then. "Queer" wasn't yet an option. And slowly I realised that dating women made me feel so much more like myself, less oppressed, more equal and more empowered.".

Has a son, Indigo Blue Honey Sokolinski (b. November 2018), named after the song "Indigo Blue" by The Clean. She is raising her son together with her partner, Stella Leoni.

Moved from Paris to Los Angeles in 2008.
