Biography

Fatima Meer was born on August 12, 1928 in Durban, Natal, South Africa. She was a writer, known for Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story (2005), The Making of the Mahatma (1996) and South Africa Belongs to Us (1980). She died on March 12, 2010 in Durban, Natal, South Africa.

Close friend of former South African President Nelson Mandela and his former wife Winnie Mandela. She went on to write a biography of his life.
