Mini bio

  • Chris "Stotty" Stott is a Los Angeles-based director, producer, and creative director working across live events, network and streaming series, social platforms, and branded content.

Born in the UK, he works throughout the United States and internationally, directing entertainment, competition, music, comedy, game-show, horror, branded, and arena-scale live formats from conception through delivery.

His directing credits include Drag Me to Dinner for Hulu, Second Chance Stage, 12 Dates of Christmas for HBO Max, So You Think You Can Dance for FOX, Freeform's Love Trip: Paris, Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge for NBC, Surprise and Scream for Amazon Prime, and the horror shorts Heidi Does Halloween and Heidi Does Halloween II: Klum's Day.

As a segment director and producer, Stott has worked on major competition and live-entertainment formats including The Golden Bachelor and American Idol for ABC; Wipeout for TBS; and NBC's World of Dance, The Titan Games, Making It, Better Late Than Never, and Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris.

His recent live and branded work includes serving as Co-Executive Producer on Formula 1's F1 75 Live at London's O2 Arena, directing the live reveal of Aston Martin Aramco's AMR26 in Saudi Arabia, and directing Snapchat's inaugural awards show, The Snappys.

Stott is co-founder of Hello, Darling! Productions, launched with showrunner James Sunderland to create entertainment for every screen: network, streaming, vertical, branded, and live.

He began his career as an editor, winning a Royal Television Society Craft & Design Award for The X Factor; that post-production foundation still informs his creative approach.

He is a member of the Directors Guild of America and IATSE.
