Lateef Adeniji

Lateef Adeniji is a Nigerian film professional and Grip Head with over seven years of experience in the film and television industry. He is known for his technical expertise in camera rigging, movement systems, and on-set mechanics, and has collaborated with some of the leading Directors of Photography in the Nigerian film ecosystem. Lateef began his career as a Grip Assistant, gaining hands-on experience in the technical and logistical aspects of camera support and grip operations. During this period, he contributed to major productions such as Citation (2019) and Omo Ghetto: The Saga (2019), where he developed a strong foundation in set operations, equipment handling, and teamwork. As his technical ability and leadership skills grew, Lateef progressed to the role of Best Boy Grip, working on high-profile projects including Chief Daddy 2, Fumilayo Ransome-Kuti, Elesin Oba, and the series She Must Be Obeyed. In these roles, he supported the grip department by coordinating equipment, assisting with complex rigging setups, and helping manage grip teams during demanding productions. He later advanced to Key Grip, leading grip teams and overseeing the safe and efficient execution of camera rigs and support systems across multiple productions. His Key Grip credits include WURA, Mother Tongue, Muri & Ko, Mask King, Different Strokes, Lasgidi Cops, and The Stranger, I Know. He has also worked on international streaming productions including Netflix projects such as Convent and The Party. Over the course of his career, Lateef has built a reputation for technical problem-solving, precision, and strong collaboration with cinematographers and directors to achieve the visual goals of each production.
