I do not really pay attention to what the other composers,I used to listen to much classical music when I was young, but at some point begin to simply dedicate to the capabilities of your own mind and your talent. The musical creation without inspiration from existing music is the most interesting trip, and that's how new material invention.

Do not think in terms of quantity or deadlines. It is a kind of organic entity that simply works without rules or obligations. It is wholly at the mercy of my own expectations and my perception of quality.

Often when I'm not writing I enjoy other hobbies, like the violin, sports, or just hanging out with my friends and family

Never ever let the music. Without it, I would be useless to myself or to the world. Whether or not hard, depends on the standard of living of each. In my case, I can not imagine any other life.

If I have a gift probably my stubborn personality and be relentless. "Go big or go home", ie, do something great or not try. They can teach the techniques and tools of art, but no emotional expression, because only you know how you feel. The music ranges from feelings. If this does not make you feel anything positive, you have failed as a composer. No one can teach you how to portray your feelings with music.
