Biography

Ary Satish is an award-winning international actor, performer and filmmaker, born in Kerala, India and currently based in London, United Kingdom. His work spans theatre, film, television, commercials, music videos and modelling across the United Kingdom, United States, India and Sri Lanka.

A graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, Ary trained at The Meisner Studio and Stonestreet Studios, earning a BFA in Drama with a double minor in Film Production and Entertainment Business. His training includes Meisner technique, on-camera performance, stage combat, clown, improvisation, Suzuki and Williamson techniques, and he is certified in unarmed stage and screen combat by the Society of American Fight Directors.

Ary’s theatre work includes Off-Broadway performances in New York, including Chaos Theory with Roundabout Theatre Company at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre, and the lead role of Roger in Le Bijou de Paris at The Chain Theatre. In Mumbai, he performed leading roles in The Metamorphosis at the National Centre for Performing Arts for Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest, True West with Dafney Productions, and Kyun Queer with The Gaysi Family at Veda Factory/Veda Kunba Theatre.

On screen, Ary has played leading roles in films including Take Care, Model Minority, Arcane Headshots, American Weasel and Teddy Ruxpin, with additional work across television, commercials and music videos. His commercial credits include campaigns for the UK Government, New York Rangers, Madison Square Garden, NYU Langone Health, Markup.io and the 5&Go App.

Ary won Best Actor at the New York Film Awards and Cult Movies International Film Festival for his performance as Kavi Sehgal in Take Care, which he also produced. His producing work has also received recognition from festivals including the Berlin Shorts Awards, Independent Shorts Awards, IndieX Film Fest, Blackbird Film Festival, Dumbo Film Festival and New York Long Island Film Festival.

Raised across India, Sri Lanka and the United States before settling in London, Ary brings a distinctly international perspective to his work. His performances have been covered in publications across India, the UK and the US, including BroadwayWorld, Mid-Day, Lokmat Times, The Table Read Magazine, Shoutout LA, Voyage MIA and Lavender After Dark.

Alongside acting, Ary works as a filmmaker, voiceover artist and model, with experience across still photography, runway, commercial performance and character transformation. Known for emotionally open, physically expressive and culturally layered performances, he is drawn to stories that explore identity, vulnerability, masculinity, displacement and belonging.

Ary Satish is a theater-trained actor who had studied under The Meisner Technique - an approach to acting developed by American theatre practitioner Sanford Meisner, where the fundamental goal is for the actor to not focus on themselves and instead concentrate on the other actors in the immediate environment - at world renowned Meisner Studio in New York City.

Ary Satish is a competitive breakdancer who at one time performed and competed in shows with bboy dance crews in Bangalore, India.

Ary Satish has performed Off-Broadway theatre as well as at the Laura Pels Theatre in Times Square/Broadway, for sold out audiences with attendees including Academy Award nominated director Mira Nair.
