Biography

At 23 years old, after having over a hundred jobs and living in over a hundred towns in five states and three countries, Justin Morales came to realize his dream. The first step, with little formal training, other than thousands of hours watching and falling in love with movies, the adventure began.

Justin read books, made phone calls, and asked questions. With only ambition he began shooting his first attempted feature, which was not even written properly. As green as he was he still manged to put together a cast, crew, and press. "It was his attitude and drive which inspired me.", said Dan Guachionne, sound department from "Kate and Leopold" and "Spin City". Unfortunately the film was not finished. Chalked up to his first lesson in filmmaking.

Justin then auditioned for a role in Brandon David's film, "King Midas", just so he could be involved with a feature film. He landed the role. After premiering at the Woodstock film festival it was picked up for distribution straight to DVD. He learned aspects of production, acting, directing, and networking from the markets and festivals. This opened the door for him to shoot a 16mm short, "Achilles Heart".

At 25 he worked on the Manhattan production of Stephen Daldry's, "The Hours". Inspired, Morales began an even more epic adventure, his second attempt at an independent feature. He formed a production company and shot "Forever", a 16mm film set in the Bronx, New York. Since the production he has acted in the feature film "Six Figures" released in 2004.
