He joined ASCAP in 1926, and his chief musical collaborator was Joe Burke. His other popular-song compositions include "When You're Smiling", "Dear One", "Who Wants a Bad Little Boy", "Don't Forget to Remember", "Take Me Back to the Garden of Roses", "You're Too Much", and "Heart-Breaker".
