Monita Sharma Sinha is a distinguished Indian actress and theatre scholar whose work bridges the gap between academic research and the performing arts. Monita developed a deep foundation in the arts through her education in Rourkela. She is based in Ranchi, where she balances her professional career with her family life alongside her husband, Amit Kumar Sinha, and their two sons, Shourya Deep and Atharv Deep. Monita possesses an extensive academic background, holding a Master’s degree in Performing Arts and serving as both a Junior and Senior Research Fellow. Her scholarly contributions are deeply rooted in the cultural landscapes of her home state; her Junior Fellowship research explored the "Expression of Tribal identity in the field of Jharkhand Theatre," while her Senior Fellowship research, titled "Vidyalaya evam Vishwavidyalaya aur Vishay Rangmanch" (School and University and the Subject of Theatre), investigates the pedagogical role of theatre in formal education.
