Jean Behrad

Behrad, born in 1978 in Tehran, Iran, is an actor, writer, and film director. He holds a Diploma in Acting from Tehran University, a B.A. in Applied Art from CKP College (India), and a Diploma from InFocus Film School (Canada). Starting in local theatre, he has performed in productions like Hamlet and Othello, led the Shahnameh Ferdowsi Carnival, and explored painting, writing, and graphic design. He has exhibited conceptual photography in India's Rozhano series and Tehran. Critically engaged with social issues, Behrad wrote for periodicals like Omid and authored few books on art and philosophy, which was not tolerated in Iran. He moved to Canada in 2018, continued film studies, wrote for Shahrvand newspaper, authored the other book and participates in various film projects as actor and director.
