Biography

David Bintley is known for 'Still Life' at the Penguin Cafe (1991), Championship Manager 2001/02 (2001) and Comrade Lady (1987).

He and his creative team were nominated for a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award in 2000 (1999 season) for Outstanding Achievement in Dance for the Birmingham Royal Ballet's Edward II at the Sadler's Wells Theatre.

He was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2001 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to dance. Director of the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
