Julia Winer is a New York-based actor, born and raised on Long Island, NY... Before discovering her passion for performance, her childhood was spent on the basketball court and lacrosse field as a competitive athlete. You name the sport- she probably played it! It wasn't until she was 16, when she first watched Out of Africa- the Oscar-winning film starring Meryl Streep and Robert Redford- that everything changed. From that moment on, she knew one thing: I want to do that. Since then she's not only devoured everything Meryl Streep has ever done, but has also fully committed to her journey as an actor. Now, 8 years later, she's trained extensively with a foundation in techniques like Stanislavski, Linklater, Meisner, and Suzuki. However, she truly believes that an actor's training is never complete - it's a lifelong journey of growth and discovery. She's always looking to improve, connect with others, and dive into new experiences. At her core, she's a lighthearted, bubbly, goofy gal - but also deeply focused, passionate, and meticulous (very Type C personality of her). She's a complex mix of contradictions and quirks - but these diverse qualities are what make her the performer she is.
