Biography

As an Indian-American filmmaker raised in Harlem, NYC, Hrishi has always been interested in exploring multi-cultural stories in film. His films usually revolve around fractured human connections shaped by cultural identity and belief systems. Since graduating with a B.F.A in Film & TV from NYU Tisch, his work has featured on influential platforms such as HBO's Max and Nowness. As an editor, he's worked with global artists such as Blackpink's Lisa and clients like A24, TIME Studios, Neon, and Samsung. BIRDSONG, his award winning directorial debut, premiered at the Academy Award® Qualifying New Hampshire Film Festival before screening at various other festivals across the country. It received NFFTY's Best Cinematography Award presented by RED Digital Cinema Camera.
