He made his debut in 1981 with Roberto De Simone's company and has since built a long and versatile career across theatre, film, and television. A prolific playwright and stage director, he has written and performed numerous successful comedies and musicals, including Quartieri Spagnoli, Non ci resta che ridere, and Ti ho sposato per ignoranza, becoming one of Naples' most frequently staged authors. On television, he is known for Un posto al sole, Il Clan dei Camorristi, Gomorra - The Series (as Don Giuseppe Avitabile), Luna Park for Netflix, and La voce che hai dentro (2023). In cinema, he has worked with directors such as Marco Risi, Edoardo De Angelis, Matteo Garrone, and Michele Placido, appearing at both the Rome and Venice Film Festivals. His directorial debut feature, Dodici Repliche, earned several international awards.
