- Galina Sokolovska is a Berlin-based costume designer and member of the European Film Academy, with over 20 years of international experience across feature films, advertising and music video. Originally from Ukraine, she has worked on productions throughout Europe, Central Asia and the UAE, on projects ranging from historical drama and period-inspired commercials to contemporary and futuristic concepts. Her focus is international co-productions - particularly between Germany, Ukraine and Eastern Europe. She specialises in costume concept development, character-driven design and textile treatment, often leading projects from first sketches through to on-set execution. Her credits include feature films such as The Betrayers, Chisinau, my love and Guardians of Christmas, alongside advertising and music-video work for brands and artists including Hennessy, Ubisoft, Dua Lipa and A$AP Rocky. Her work has been recognised internationally, including at the Ciclope Festival and the UK Music Video Awards; a music video she styled was nominated for a 2024 Grammy. Galina holds a diploma in Design and Technology of Sewing Products from the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, and has lectured on costume design for film and theatre.
