Biography

Lamara Strijdhaftig

Mini bio

  • Lamara Strijdhaftig is a Surinamese-Dutch actress and performer working across film and screen, with a background in dance, singing, and acting. She was born in Hoorn, the Netherlands, and began her performing career in dance theatre, appearing with the company Don't Hit Mama in venues including Royal Theatre Carré and DeLaMar Theatre. She later graduated as a professional all-around dancer from PACT College in Amsterdam.

Expanding her focus to screen performance and later, theatre, Strijdhaftig trained in camera acting at the Film Actors Academy Amsterdam and continued her acting studies at the Maastricht Academy of Performing Arts. Her transition from movement-based performance to acting shaped a multidisciplinary approach to character work across genres.

Her screen work includes roles in the feature films Expeditie Cupido (2024) and Bon Bini Holland 3 (2022), as well as the lead role in the short film Het Ligt Aan Mij, which premiered at the Dutch Film Festival and toured nationally as part of the OpenMind Foundation's femicide awareness exhibition. She also appeared in the feature film Carnaval (2026), directed by Flip van der Kuil.

Strijdhaftig continues to work across film projects while developing her craft through ongoing training and collaborations in the Netherlands and Belgium.
