Marco Felipe

Hi guys, I'm Marco. The first thing you should know about me is that I can't remember myself without art in my life. I grew up drawing, painting, writing poetry and, awkwardly enough, reading a lot of philosophy and going to psychologists ever since I was 9, and those are all things that make me the filmmaker I am. So the way I like seeing my work is I don't make movies to tell good stories in an interesting way that invites people into other realities. I make films to explore questions on the human condition in a way that steals the reality people are used to away from them, trusting my fascination for the unusual, my slightly broken sense of humor and my passion for experimental art to make the story I'm telling so daring and intriguing that it becomes a magnet to the audience's curiosity.

Fortunately, this approach I took to my craft led me to make 12 short films in the past 5 years, and to get around 150 awards in 14 countries, including the US, Italy, France and England.
