Johnny studied acting with William Hickey at HB studio, and at the Lee Strasberg institute. He is also a solo performer, and has performed in many downtown venues. He started performing Poetry on the Lower east side in NYC in 1987. In 2007 New Orleans legend and Roll
Hall of Famer Dr John the Nite Tripper closed Johnnys one man show "Bless Them All" singing Junco Partner at the Bowery Poetry club.
