Biography

William Powell was born on February 27, 1925 in New York City, New York, USA. He was a writer and producer, known for All American (1953), Stagecoach West (1960) and Bonanza (1959). He was married to Patsy Parsons and Irene Mary Brodowski. He died on March 13, 1968 in the USA.

After suffering from depression, hepititis and kidney problems which had forced him to quit writing, he committed suicide by stabbing himself repeatedly in the upper body whilst in the shower. He left a four paged note addressed to his father, of which only the last two sentences ("Things aren't so good here. I'm going where it's better") were revealed to the public. He was laid to rest at Cathedral City's Desert Memorial Park in Riverside County, California.

Only child of actor William Powell.
