Hristo Topuzanov was a Bulgarian film director, and screenwriter. Hristo Simeonov Topuzanov was born on June 11, 1930 in Sofia. He graduated from Italian high school in Sofia (1947) and State College School of Cinematography (1951). He was an author of some very important Bulgarian animated films. He won for them national and international prizes. He was a member of Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers. He has received the Order "Cyril and Methodius" twice - in 1976) and in1980. He died on November 17, 2006 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
