Ray is a composer, producer, singer, and songwriter, known for his unique song-composing style that blends edgy, haunting scores with fresh new-age melodies. He creates original music for films, advertisements, and web series, seamlessly fusing classical depth with modern soundscapes to craft emotionally resonant, distinctive music.
Born in Asansol into a family steeped in Indian classical music, Ray trained under his father, a tabla player, and further honed his craft at Trinity College of Music and with Mr. Sam Engineer in Kolkata. Much of his artistry is self-taught. Health challenges led him from tabla to synthesizers and keyboards, shaping his singular blend of tradition and modern expression.
