Biography

Ogie Alcasid was born on August 27, 1967 in Manila, Philippines. He is a composer and actor, known for Ang panday (2009), Bubble Gang (1995) and Dubai (2005). He has been married to Regine Velasquez since December 22, 2010. They have three children. He was previously married to Michelle Van Eimeren.

Ogie Alcasid was introduced in the film Feel na feel (1990).

Her debut as concert producer was Power of Love on February 13-14, 2005 at Music Musuem in Greenhills, Paranque. It features the singing debut of Iya Villania-Arellano. With Ogie were Concert Prioncess Kyla and singing champ Rachelle Ann Go

First wife Michelle Van Eimeren is Miss Australia 1994. They met when Michelle went to Manila in 1994 for the Miss Universe competition. Ogie was the celebrity tour guide of that event.

In his character Boy Pick-up on Bubble Gang (1995), he popularized the expression "Boom." When a story or a punchline has an underlying meaning, it is emphasized by saying "boom," with matching gesture of the hips thrusting forward and hands wide apart pulled with a slight sudden force.
