Biography

Kat Hawkes is a New Zealand-born actress of Russian heritage who was raised and educated in the United Kingdom. After living and working internationally in the UK, the United States, Russia, and Bermuda, she returned to New Zealand to pursue acting.

With a background in dance, athletics, and performance, she combines grace, discipline, and physicality with commanding screen presence. Hawkes works across film and television and is trained in the Mikhail Chekhov technique.

Equally at home in high society or high-stakes power dynamics, Kat moves seamlessly from the ballroom to the boardroom.

Bachelor of Arts in Russian from SSEES, London University. Speaks four languages fluently: English, French, German and Russian. Prior to acting, lived in Russia for three years and ran her own very successful promotion agency.

Started ballet at 28 years old in studio city in California.
