Biography

Denisse Ojeda is a Mexican-American artist and composer for visual media, working between Mexico City and Los Angeles. With a distinctive voice that blends electronic, experimental, and orchestral elements into darker, ambient soundscapes, her work brings depth and emotional resonance to every project she undertakes.

A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Denisse holds dual degrees in Film Scoring and Bass Performance. Denisse began her career in trailers and advertising, contributing to projects such as the Nissan mnemonic, the trailer for The Wilds Season 2, the trailer for Jack Ryan Season 2, the teaser for HBO's The Undoing, and a TV spot for Sofia Coppola's Priscilla. These early experiences shaped her approach to creating bold, evocative sound worlds that support storytelling across different media.

Denisse has since expanded into film and television, composing for both narrative and documentary projects. Some of her credits include the Paramount+ documentary The Carters: Hurts to Love You, the upcoming Smithsonian Channel documentary Aerial Mexico, the Sundance award-winning documentary Bad Press, and the feature Departing Seniors, which premiered at Fright Fest in 2023.

Beyond long-form projects, her work has also been heard widely on television, with placements in programs such as Entertainment Tonight, The Daily Show, 48 Hours, CBS Mornings, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Denisse's ability to navigate the space between music and storytelling continues to guide her work.
