Biography

Yogi Devgan is an award-winning Australian producer, writer and director. His work has gained national and international recognition, with I Am OK a 2026 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards contender, A Silent Escape winning multiple international awards and streaming globally on Chaupal, Smile, It's Free receiving international recognition, Unbreakable Stride winning both the South Australian and Major Awards at the Focus on Ability Film Festival before streaming on SBS On Demand, and Dadi Maa confirmed for SBS On Demand in November 2026. His feature adaptation of A Silent Escape was selected for the South Australian Film Corporation's Diversity Development Grant, supporting an Australia India co-production. He is also producing the feature documentaries The Hardest Fight and A Lifetime Between Takes, both with completed proof-of-concept trailers, and is currently seeking finance, marketplace partnerships, and distribution.

Yogi Devgan is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, director, and producer based in Australia. In recognition of his contribution to arts and culture, he received the Governor’s Multicultural Award 2025 and was nominated for the Citizen of the Year Award in 2023 and 2025 for his community contributions. A graduate of the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Film and Television. His short film I Am OK was a 2026 contender for the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards, while A Silent Escape has won multiple international awards and is streaming globally on Chaupal. His documentary Smile, It’s Free also received international recognition. His film Unbreakable Stride won the South Australian Award and the Major Award in Sydney at the Focus on Ability Film Festival, and is streaming on SBS On Demand as part of the festival’s official program.
