Krisztián Balassa is a Hungarian screenwriter and conductor whose work bridges the worlds of film and music. As both a creator and interpreter, he is known for his original storytelling, orchestral collaborations, and contributions to international film productions. His debut animated feature, a full-length adaptation of Csongor and Tünde, premiered in 2025, marking his screenwriting debut in cinema.
Trained at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Balassa holds degrees in choral and orchestral conducting. He has conducted numerous film score recordings with orchestras such as the Budapest Symphony Orchestra and the Pannonia Film Orchestra, working on Hollywood and Bollywood productions alike. He also appeared at the 2025 Joy Awards in Riyadh, collaborating with global icons including Christina Aguilera, Andrea Bocelli, Hans Zimmer, and Michael Bublé.
Balassa's concert work spans major European venues, from Theater des Westens in Berlin to the Deutsches Theater in Munich. In Hungary, he regularly conducts leading ensembles like the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Concerto Budapest, and the Kodály Philharmonic. As an author, his first novel Marionett Fenomenál was published in 2021.
