Biography

Raymond Gram Swing was born on March 25, 1887 in Cortland, New York, USA. He was an actor, known for Historical Reel: Broken Treaties (1941), Howard K. Smith (1962) and Portraits of Power (1957). He was married to Meisung Loh, Mary S. Hartshorne, Betty Gram and Suzanne Morin. He died on December 23, 1968 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA.

Radio commentator in the 1930s and '40s.

His second wife, Betty Gram, was an ardent feminist. She insisted that he adopt her last name as a condition of marriage; as a compromise, he added it as a middle name. As soon their divorce was final, he dropped "Gram" from his name.
