Miles Tobel

Mini bio

  • Miles is an LA- and NYC-based musician who plays piano, saxophone, guitar, mandolin, and sings. His work spans film scoring, pop production, arranging, and classical composition. He has collaborated with leading figures in the industry, assisting Emmy- and Grammy-winning composer Mark Isham, working at Rick Rubin’s famed Shangri-La Studios, and doing music preparation and performing guitar for the feature film Desperation Road (with Mel Gibson) alongside composer Haim Mazar. He arranged the live string quartet for Malcolm Todd’s 2025 Flog Gnaw Festival set at Dodger Stadium and the strings and horns for Todd’s debut album, including the hit single "Chest Pain (I Love)" - featured with an extended string intro on Jimmy Kimmel and on Vevo DSCVR, where Miles also performed on tenor saxophone. Most recently, Miles teamed with artist Lola Quinn to create an original song for the upcoming feature film Miami Nights (with Jeremy Piven, Terrence Howard), which is featured as a recurring theme and in the film’s finale scene. His compositions have been performed in the 2025 Carnegie Hall Circuit, by the Budapest Chamber Orchestra, the CSULA Saxophone Quartet, and many others. He has released two full-length albums on all major streaming platforms and scored a variety of films. He has won multiple awards for his compositions, including the National YoungArts award and the prestigious Alan Menken Scholarship.
