Allyson Akers

Allyson Suzanne Akers was born on August 14, 1983. An American actress and a Louisville, KY native she began her modeling career at the same local agency as Jennifer Lawrence. Her father, George Thomas "Tommy" Akers was a professional polo player, writer, and poet.
Allyson considers her training as a Registered Nurse as the greatest gift to her acting career and had originally intended on becoming a Nurse-Midwife before she decided to pursue acting full time.
"In nursing we are taught to Look first, then Listen, then Feel. I think that plays pretty well with the actor's duty. There is also no other place where you can have an up close and personal experience with the rawness...the depth...the power of the human condition than on the hospital floor."
