Biography

Miley was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, the only child of Mike and Mary Miley. He attended Loyola University, New Orleans, where he studied under Surface Calm (2001) and Mary Reilly (1996) author Valerie Martin, and graduated with a BA in English Writing in 2001. In May 2001, he married Amelia Chen Miley and moved to Los Angeles. He then attended the American Film Institute's Directing Program and graduated with an MFA in June 2003.
