- Helen began her film career after studying English at Goldsmiths, University of London. Following roles at the British Film Institute and Portobello Pictures, she produced a series of Film4 and BBC Films-backed short films featuring actors including Hugh Laurie, Jack Davenport and Saffron Burrows.
She later specialized in post-production, supervising films including This Is England, Boy A, Control, Africa United, Killing Bono and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.
Helen is the author of What I Really Want to Do Is Produce, published by Faber & Faber and Farrar, Straus and Giroux, and produced the feature documentary She’s French, currently playing on Netflix.
From 2019 to 2026, she worked as a Post Production Executive at Film Finances, overseeing film and television projects through post-production and delivery.
Helen is currently freelancing as a Senior Consultant and Executive Producer, bringing creative, production and commercial expertise to film and television projects.
