Biography

Theodore Case was born on December 12, 1888 in Auburn, New York, USA. He was a director and producer, known for Theodore Case Test Film (1925). He died on May 13, 1944 in Auburn, New York, USA.

In 1922 he invented first commercial sound-on-film sound system for motion pictures, entering first into a partnership with Lee De Forest, calling the company DeForest Photofilm. After splitting with DeForest, he went into partnership with producer William Fox.

His daughter Jane Case was a cryptologist for the US Navy during World War II.
