- Ivan Nagy was born on April 28, 1943 in Debrecen, Hungary. He was an actor, known for Live from Lincoln Center (1976), The Mike Douglas Show (1961) and Ballerina (1987). He was married to Marilyn Burr. He died on February 22, 2014 in Budapest, Hungary.

- He retired from dancing at the peak of his career when he was 35. He said he knew far too many dancers who danced so long that they did permanent damage to their knees or backs.
- He began studying dance as a child, with his mother, a ballet teacher. At age 7, he entered the school of the Budapest State Opera Ballet (now the Hungarian State Opera House Ballet). He joined the Budapest company in 1960.
