Leon Collins was born on 7 February 1922 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was an actor, known for Songs Unwritten: A Tap Dancer Remembered (1989). He was married to Tina Dixon. He died on 16 April 1985 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Inducted into the International Tap Dance Hall of Fame in 2007.

Was married to blues singer and actress Tina Dixon, who helped get him a job with Jimmie Lunceford&#39;s band.
