Dean Hughart is a Location Sound Recordist, Sound Designer, Re-recording Mixer, and Composer based in Denver, CO. He has worked on set for a wide range of indie film projects throughout Colorado, and has done post production audio for a host of short films and feature productions.
Dean was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Minor in Audio & Music Engineering from the University of Rochester. He studied Film Scoring at the Eastman School of Music and played saxophone and clarinet in several ensembles at Eastman and the U of R.
He is best known for his partnership with Sparrow Street Films, working to create Sparrow Street (2023) and The Silicant (2025).
