Biography

Jean Guitry was born on March 5, 1884 in St. Petersburg, Russia. He was an actor, known for Vicenta (1920) and Pour don Carlos (1921). He died on September 11, 1920 in Trouville, Calvados, France.

Actor, author, he is the older brother of Sacha Guitry. He was instrumental of having Sacha's first play "Le Page" created on 15 Avril 1902, at Paris, Théâtre des Mathurins. Sacha was 17 and Jean 18. .

Their mother actress Renée Delmas de Pont-Jest born in 1858 died in Paris on 4 July 1902 of tuberculosis.
